Our Story
Eric Casteel opened Woodcraft of Iowa City in 2022. After doing plenty of DIY projects at home from bookcases to tables, Eric recognized a need in his community for specialty woodworking with affordable costs. With a passion for his work, he opened a specialty woodworking tool and products store that caters to everyone, from beginners to experts. In just a short time after opening, Eric has grown his business into a leading specialty hardware store in Iowa City and surrounding areas.
As a locally owned and operated business, we pride ourselves on hard work and are dedicate to excellent customer service. By locally sourcing lumber from the Midwest, we support our communities and provide the highest quality materials for our customers. We carry industry-leading brands, like Powermatic, Alumilite, SawStop, and more, so you can be sure our products are trusted and reliable.
When you visit Woodcraft of Iowa City, expect to walk into a welcoming atmosphere with a knowledgeable and friendly staff. Our team of experts is always insightful when helping you find the items that best suit your needs, and aims to educate our customers on the extensive range of products we offer. In the future, we even plan to offer woodworking classes for individuals looking to master the craft.
